The current list and reported causes of 23 retirements at the time of upload is:

- Transcendence Rudy Project (DH)- Dismasted
- Ciao Bella – Steering Issues
- URM Group - Dismasted
- Philosopher - Dismasted
- Master Lock Comanche – Main Sail Damage
- Wild Oats – Rigging Damage
- Calibre 12 – Main Sail Damage
- Centennial – Main Sail Damage
- Porco Rosso – Man Overboard (retrieved)
- Mayfair – Broken Gear
- Zeus – Foil Damage
- Rum Rebellion (DH) - Unknown
- Bacchanal – Broken Boom
- Pretty Woman – Head Stay Damage
- Georgia Express – Contained Engine Fire
- Verite (DH) - Electrical Issues
- Quetzalcotl – Crew Injury
- Lord Jiminy (DH) – Crew Member Recurring Injury
- The Shepherd Centre – Engine Issues
- Gizmo (DH)– Sea Sickness
And of course, Bowline and Flying Fish Arctos who both have experienced a tragic loss of life in separate incidents.
This means that there are 81 still racing with 5 Double Handed retirements and18 still racing in this division.
